The simplest split: everyone gets the same amount. The calculator also handles the leftover cents, so the parts always add up to the exact total.
The formula
Amount per person = Total amount ÷ number of people
Worked example: when it doesn’t divide evenly
1,000.00 EUR between three people is 333.333… each, which can’t be paid exactly. Rounded to the cent, two people get 333.33 EUR and one gets 333.34 EUR, for a total of 1,000.00 EUR.
Which person gets the extra cent makes no real difference. The calculator gives it to the first person in the list, so you can reorder the list if you want someone else to receive it.
